Diamonds Are A Girl’s Best Friend
Sigh. Didn’t get into the Paris baking course. I guess it is all for the best. Now I can concentrate on the wedding. But I am getting worried about John. He is talking even less these days, and seems very terse whenever the subject of the wedding comes up.
Is he having doubts? Doesn’t he want to get married?
Looking forward to the ring buying trip! Mom loves diamond rings. She showed me the ring Dad got her when they got married. She said, it is the measure of a man’s love for you.

Good god girl. If a man’s love is measured by the price of the ring in which he gives his wife, I daresay there would be numerous of rich husbands and very sad wives out there. It is how much he is willing to give in the long run that counts, not the initial package and emotionally more than financially. After all, money can always be earned but love can never be bought.

Good god girl, a ring is not a measure of a man’s love for you. Love is never measured at the beginning or at the end but from everything-in-between.
In any case, about your course, just keep in mind. When a door closes, a window opens. Or even if it does not, you can open it for yourself.
