Do I Really Need A Happy Ending?

Leng and John look so happy together. But sometimes I wonder if they are going to make it to the wedding, with all their little squabbles.

I really envy them. Sometimes I wonder when it is going to be my turn.

Maybe I waited too long.

Maybe I spent too much time on my career.

Maybe I should have held on to him…

Stop it, Anna. You are a confident, successful and not-unattractive woman who does not need a man in her life to make things complete. And M was a jerk too.

Besides, I am not fussy. I am not looking for a hunk. I am easygoing. Singaporean men are either male chauvinist pigs or socially inept.

Got another mystery sms yesterday. This time it said, “Where was you? Where was you when I needed you?”

WHO is this person? It’s driving me crazy.

I had drinks with Tracy and her male friends the other day and one of the guys commented that I was opinionated. The nerve! I was merely pointing out to him the flaw in his logic about the Uighur situation. I hate losing arguments to uninformed people!

Men! Who needs them anyway. I have to get back to my planning for next month’s restaurant events. Running a business is tough stuff, even for a superwoman like me. Haha!

We do not need men, and neither do men need women. We just need another soulmate. Emphasis here being on the word ’soul’.

After all, according to Plato, it seems that we were all souls once (perhaps since the Big Bang) who became separated and since then have been looking for our other half.

I’ve heard of a modified version of that theory before – apparently we were all beans (don’t ask), and we got split and scattered everywhere. Thus, we spend our lives looking for our other half-bean to make us whole. The thing is, how do you find your half-bean among billions of other beans? :(

Anna, for you to stereotype men like that is just wrong! Just because you had one bad experience doesnt mean it will be likewise for the rest.

So get that thought out of your head, there are better men out there, who respect women and make them feel special, like a princess, like some of us do. Everyone deserves a happy ending, so do you ;-)

Thanks… I guess you’re right, but life often dictates otherwise.
