I think, as a marriage couple-to-be, the signs would already have been pretty obvious.
If he’s tense every time the issue of money (or something to do with it : the wedding, the ring, etc.) is broached upon, as the other half, you have to see or realise that something is wrong.
Talk to him about it, but don’t force him to say everything and anything if he doesn’t want to. All the little nuances to look out for as husband and wife.
Take every day together as a chance of getting some experience and understanding about each other. You can never know *everything* about someone else.

I don’t have to know *everything* about him… I just want him to share enough with me so that I can help him shoulder his burdens. He shouldn’t have to carry them alone.
