Ok people, time to get everything out in the open. After all, if we don’t solve this, there’s just no way we can carry on.

John, why on earth didn’t you tell Leng, and me, about your job? I understand it is sensitive and personal, but it’s also critical because the wedding costs are quickly piling up, and we really need to pay off the hotel, and also rethink Bali.

Leng, be cool. We can work through this. I know babe, you had your heart set on Bali, but we seriously need to lower our expectations. I’ve spoken to Norman and he’s going to scout for possible alternative locations.

Above all John and Leng, this is your wedding. And much as we all want it to be successful, you guys must decide that you want to make it happen.

Oh yes, I forgot. We can cut some corners on the dishes, for example, no shark’s fin soup, and importantly, if we don’t have alcohol we’ll save a bomb!

Good news, guys. I’ve been scouting around, and Sentosa has a couple of private locations that are beautiful. It’s not Bali, but it comes pretty close. And, we can also go to the Botanic Gardens. Quite a clichéd location, but for good reason, we’ll get pretty classic shots there.

Eh, I also can help. My friend Rene, who is my ex-colleague, she owns a bridal studio so she can give me a big discount on a bridal package. Last time I got model with her for her shop display photos, she ex-beauty queen somemore, so confirm can get cheaper rates.

Boon Huat! Do you really think she’s interested in you? And aren’t you suppose to prepare the special item? Yes, good news people, I talked to my parents and they’re fine with helping to absorb some of the wedding costs . And Bali can be our honeymoon instead. It’s alright, the wedding is way more important.

Leng, thank you and thank your parents. This is why I’m marrying you. But, its alright, you don’t have to do this. I’ve managed to secure enough financing to not have to rely on anyone else.
