Life Doesn’t Need To Be Complicated
I can’t believe that I’m saying this, but… I’m starting to think that losing my job was the best thing that happened to me in a long time, besides Leng, of course.
Everything is so much simpler and clearer now. I don’t have to worry and be stressed about my clients or my performance at work. No more looking over my shoulder to see if the new guy at work is going to outdo my weekly quota or not. No more brown-nosing like a dog to a boss who works a fraction of the hours I do and earns five times as much.
Now that I’m not constantly preoccupied and stressed by work, I’m happy – I feel like myself again. I actually have time to think about Leng and how much she means to me, and what I really want to do with my life.

My cousin has a durian stall in Geylang. Only it’s a bit near to the karaoke pubs, and sometimes got fights. But you can eat durian at work every day!
