Well, being unemployed is a blessing in disguise, apparently. I now have the time to listen to hour-long podcasts like this fantastic one on Hamlet, one of my favourite plays. The Shakespearean version was so emotionally intense, but these guys really took it to another level. I am amazed that a group of prison inmates actually overcame the difficulties of learning Shakespearean English and the fear of being taunted by other prisoners to perform. I guess they could empathise with the characters in the play, because they’re no strangers to violence. The result was incredibly moving. I wish they could perform it here.

In other news, I saw a sign at the gym that read “Please be careful not to leave anything behind the locker.” It made me want to move the lockers to check! Too bad I didn’t have my camera with me. I should probably submit it to the Fix That Sign contest before it closes on the 27th of October.
