Inches Away From The Perfect Wedding

Boon was asking me for some help on how to improve his presentation skills and sales pitch, so I found a podcast that I think he would find useful.

It’s called “Effective Presentations” and it’s one of the many free podcasts from Communicate Confidently, a programme on 938LIVE that provides valuable tips for executives and managers.

I also recommended to Boon this podcast about using humour in your presentations. I hope Boon doesn’t get the wrong idea and think that I don’t appreciate his jokes! It’s just that I want him to know when it’s appropriate and when it’s not. I don’t think all of his clients find his car-related jokes funny…

Of course, helping Boon is important for his job, but more and more, I find myself wanting to help him, wanting to spend time with him to sort out all the little idiosyncrasies in his language. I admire his desire to better himself. He does not always get it right but his commitment touches me.
